Pioneer Weekend!

We went to Fillmore for the 24th of July weekend and had a great time...again!  First we did a little work in Becky's yard...well Dustin did a little work...I mostly enjoyed the scenery and smelled the fresh pine air and sat on the porch LOL!  Then we played...

Before the Rodeo we stopped at Scipio Park for a picnic with Becky and Craig and their family.  It was Yummy!  Nothing like cold watermelon and "Good Ice" on a hot day! Thank Becky for all you do!
I will admit in advance that I went crazy with the camera at the rodeo!  The "Kodak Moments" were too cute to pass up and I couldn't decide what to post.  Nothing like cute kids in cowboy hats at the rodeo...We had a blast!
So cute! (Sidenote: Dallin with his dad's sunglasses on...he though he was very cool!)
Does this say "America" or what?  Love this part of the rodeo!
Lucky for us we were stationed right next to the shaved ice shack!  The kids were in heaven!
I think this picture makes my top ten list for the year! Love love LoVe it!
This one too!
My niece Aliya...she fits right in.  Love her!

Awe...Sweet.
They got board and started playing games...
Zeke...so cute in his hat...Loved the animals!
Dustin having a good time at his old stomping grounds
Alex
Derrick
Dallin
This clown was 99 years old!  The boys were mesmerized when he came to talk to them!
We went for a walk to try to help CJ start into labor...it didn't work LOL! But we got some cute pictures of the kiddos!  Shannon and Zeke...how cute are these little three year olds?  Full of life and best buds!  Love crackers and cheese and eating and playing.  So Sweet.
Our little Zeke...what would we do without him?
A sidenote: I have to remember that Zeke is saying funny things all the time.  His latest words are:
"Mom I want to watch Lady and the Crap!"  (Tramp)
"Mom when are we going to go cramping?!? (Camping)
"Mom!  I hungry!"  He says this constantly weather he's hungry or not!
Loves the puppies.  Packs poor Stella everywhere he goes and she's good to put up with him.  He's going to love her to death one of these days.
We took the dogs with us on our walk and they pooped out halfway around the cemetery.  Dustin had to "stroll" them home.  It was hilarious!
By the time we got back Diesel was ready to roll again.  We turned our backs for two seconds and he went missing as usual.  We found him in the back yard with the "BIG DOGS" Jake and Grizz who had the good sense to ignore him and not break his neck.  Grizz is the size of a small horse and Diesel is not taller than the grass on a good day LOL!
It was hilarious.  Diesel thinks he is so big, but when faced with a choice he lays down and plays dead.  He knows it's his only defense.  Those little legs don't get him far LOL!

Alldredge Family Reunion 2011

We went up to Cedar Mountain for a day of fun with the Alldredge Family!  We had a great time!

The minuet we opened the truck door we were hit with the frigid Cedar City temperature...(85 degrees LOL!) So we threw on our coats and got out to play.  There was this HUGE meadow full of wild flowers.  The kids were in heaven running though it.  So fun!  The colors were awesome!
Tammy saved the day and was the hit of the party with her homemade rocket launcher.  Each kid got to make their own rocket and launched it up there.  It was so much fun!
Those rockets could really fly!  They went so far up there!  Who knew a rolled up piece of paper and some duct tape could do that?
Cute boys with their treasures.  They were over the moon with their rockets!
(No pun intended LoL!)
Dustin trying his hand at horseshoes with Dallin
Dustin and Grandpa were good sports getting all these little guys ready to fish!  It was quite the fiasco getting worms on four hooks and getting them tossed out there and then trying to keep them from crossing each others lines!  Grandpa only had to duck and cover three times trying to keep out of the slimy worms way as the boys tried to cast their own lines.  Good memories! :)
Dallin learned to cast the hook by himself!  He got really good by the end of the afternoon.  He is getting so big! The little boy is growing right out of him.  Makes me sad sometimes.  Where has the time gone?
I was content to sit and take pictures of all the pretty flowers!  The colors were awesome!  It was just what I needed.  A little fresh air and sunshine and the mountains.  Perfect day!
Alex trying to be VERY PATIENT!  He would ask every two minuets or so, "Mom!  When are we going to catch a fish?!?"  Like I had it planned out or something.  It was funny!
Dustin teaching the little dudes how to fish.  So cute!
Zeke and Grandpa Having a chat...

Everyone finally settled down and fishing.  Sweet memory.
Dustin trying to catch a few with some marshmallows.  He said they were biting on them, but then it was time to go the auction so we made him pack it up...LOL!
"Grandma Great" and all her kids.
Back row: Micheal - Alan - Dennis - Jerry
Font Row: Evonne - Darlene - "Grandma Great" - Nancy - Jeanie
The auction is the best part of the whole reunion!  Everyone looks forward to all the fun handmade things everyone brings to sell.  This year Dustin's dad was the auctioneer...he did a great job!

Dallin bid on this cool gun and got it for less than the sticker price on the package.  It turned out to be a pretty heavy duty cap gun.  He was ecstatic!  He's worn it around for days! Maybe he's still a little boy after all...
Look at those colors!  Beautiful!

Zeke is Three!

Our little Zeke Turned THREE today!  I can't believe he is three already!

The loot!  Zeke was very upset on Derricks birthday that the pile of presents was not for him so this was his favorite part of the day!
Look at that Happy Three Year Old face!  So cute!
Zeke loved all his presents!  Thanks to everyone who sent fun things!
The cake....I know I know...as previously discussed in the post about Derrick's cake I admit again to not being a professional in this department, but hey...enough candy and sprinkles and it's like Disneyland to them right?  What a happy Kid!
We love our litle Zeke "ster"!  He is full of life!  He is always going going going, and always hungry!  His favorite thing to do is say, "Mom, I hungry!"  He loves to be right by me.  He is happy to sit and play with toys as long as he can see me and I am stationary.  He gets very bugged if I am moving all about doing things.  He loves to come and snuggle in the mornings and he is working VERY hard at potty training.  I admit most of his birthday was spent in the bathroom and he was not happy about that, but he is catching on quick.  Even quicker when Dustin bribes with with trips to the Maverick to get "canny" as Zeke puts it LOL!  He loves cars and coming with me to the store.  He thinks he's as big as Dallin and wants to do everything himself.  We love you Zeke!  Happy Birthday to You!

Let Freedom Ring!

I love LOVE LoVe the 4th of July!  It is one of my favorites!  I love the heat (well at least the heat that's not so hot in Fillmore LoL!)  This year we went to Dustin's parents and we had a ton of fun!  Here's what we did...
Because the actual 4th of July fell on Monday we had the whole weekend to "Gear Up" for the parade!  DenniAnn and Kristi helped the kids make all their cute shirts and bags.  By the time parade morning arrived they were dressed to the nines and VERY ready for the candy!  So fun!
Getting ready for the flag to walk by.  Derrick was a good sport, even though he argued the point that his heart was on the other side.  Yes...Dustin is picking his nose...on purpose.  Found this out after I downloaded the pictures to the computer! Sigh.
Getting ready for the candy...they can hardly wait!
Making a mad dash for all the goods...What Fillmore lacks in floats they make up for in Salt Water Taffy...Yummy! It's funny how the kids are at different stages.  Dallin has finally figured out how to grab all you can and stuff it in your bag later, while Zeke would try to put each piece neatly in his bag and then move onto the next.  He didn't get as much as Dallin.  LOL!
They were very serious about watching for the next float...so cute.
Here comes "Yogi Bear"!!!  I will never live that down!  They toss out the best Frisbees!  We look forward to them every year...so does Cloey.  She can't help chewing them all up!  They drive her mad.
Hanging out in the yard after the parade counting the loot. So Fun!
For the second year in a row now I have made all the kids P.J's.  I have to admit I am impressed with myself yet again for getting all the sizes just right without being able to measure anyone.  They are so cute and the kids love them!  We get them all washed up after playing in the dirt all day and put on their new jammies and head to the park for fireworks.  This works great sense most of them fall asleep there after diving uner the blankets because they are scared.  So fun having all these cute kids together.  The boys loves thier cousins!
Does it get cuter than this?  Say cheese!
 Funny Faces!

 Four Cute Boys!
Awe!  Last year we got a cute pictures of Shannon giving Zeke a kiss so we tried again this year...Zeke was not impressed, but he was a good enough sport to let her give him a little love.  These two are a riot together.  A very fun age.  Great pals
I consider these little gals my own.  They are darling.
Zeke is loving getting his picture taken right now.  Every time I have the camer out he begs me to take a picture so he can see.  This is one of my favorites.  He is getting so big...I can't believe he's almost three!
Dustin and the pupps...what can I say...he's an animal guy.  Do you think we could get anymore black dogs????
We spent most of the weekend on the tramp...I am happy to report my bladder survived the trama LOL!
