That's a wrap!

Christmas has come and gone and it's nice to have things back to normal. As we reflect on the recent year there are a few things we have come to realize...

We are so BLESSED! So many times we have been blessed this year! A new baby, healthy, happy kids, a warm place to live and a good job to name a few. How could we ask for anything more.

The realization that life isn't about things but small moments. People...family and friends are at the heart of it. We love you all and hope to see you again soon.

We still believe! It's been so fun this year to watch the kids contemplate the true meaning of Christmas and that wonderment in their eyes...I know that I will miss that someday. Alex staring at the nativity scene for hours, Dallin asking a million questions about how Santa gets to every house, and Derrick being happy with all the excitement in the air.

The church is true! We would be nowhere without it. I can see the truth of it in my children's eyes, and we feel the spirit in our home. We need that extra shot in the arm each week to maintain composure. In these troubled times I am so glad to have a "lighthouse" to look to while trying to teach and raise good kids. We are so grateful for good parents that had the patience to teach us such valuable things to pass on to our kids, and who are still leading by example. We hate to think of where we would be without that strong foundation in our lives.

It's Tradition!

We decorated gingerbread houses this weekend, it's one of the boys favorite traditions and they had a blast! Including Dustin, he got way into it, he even put "stucco" (sprinkles) on it. We made them with chocolate milk cartons from the school...way easy and fun! Pictured above are some of the highlights. Notice Alex's bald spot...hard to miss. Zeke's new favorite thing is sucking on a sock. Don't worry...it's clean. I put one of his own socks on his hand like a glove to occupy him while I was helping the boys with the house decorating and he loved it. He didn't make a peep for half an hour, and the best thing is the sock soaks up all the slobber so when you take it off he and the walker are clean as a whistle. Pretty ingenious I thought. I know it's pathetic, but when you're a mom and you find a little break like a slobber soaker-upper, it makes your day...LOL!

Remember when... Derrick went running out of the room and tripped over a box and said, "Oops! Sorry 'da box'." Like it was his best friend or something. We had to chuckle over that one.

"In the meadow we can build a snowman!"

It's been so warm here lately that it really didn't feel like Christmas and I've really been missing the "winter-wonderland" of home in Salt Lake. Santa delivered early this year for me and we got some great snow. I couldn't go to sleep I just wanted to stay up and watch it fall...it was so peaceful and bright! The funny thing was to get the phone call before the snow even started falling that school was cancelled for a "snow-day". Back in my day up north this would have been considered a "skiff" and to school we would trudge. I was grateful though, it gave us a chance to catch up at home and the boys went out and played.

On a funnier (well it will probably be funny someday, right now I'm not very happy about it) note, I found a glob of hair with gum in it in the bathroom garbage the other day and didn't think much of it. I had had the "Achievement Day" girls over the night before and assumed it belonged to one of them. Nope...I'm not that lucky. Later on I discovered Alex was missing most of the hair on the top of his head. Someone had obviously helped him with the task, but no one will fess up right now. I guess we can check the "gum in your hair" off the list of things that your kids do to drive you crazy! What a character that kid!

Remember when... We were driving in the car and Alex said, "Well...if we're gonna build a snowman we have to have a carrot mom!" Very matter-of-factly. He'd seen plenty of freshly built snowmen that day driving around town and none of them had a carrot nose, it must have disturbed him...LOL!

Dallin Turned Six!

Our cute little Dallin was born six years ago on December 9th. Time flies when you're having fun. I can't believe he is already six and going to school. He has been such a good kid, I've really been spoiled being his Mom. I hope his little brothers turn out as well as he has. We love him so much and are so grateful he is part of our family. All in all he said he had a great day. Strawberry cake is his favorite, so we tried our best to make a "pink cake" as manly as possible. Aunt Kristi did an awesome job with the limited tools I provided :) Happy Birthday Dallin!

It was bound to happen sooner or later...

Well with four boys living under one roof it was bound to happen sooner or later. Last Wednesday Dustin got a call from Alex's preschool teacher that he had split his chin open on the jungle gym. Dustin went and got him...I was at the elementary playground...and he steri-stipped him up. We thought it would be o.k. - then that afternoon he went to a Birthday Party at Jumpin' Jacks. He must of cracked it open there, because he came home and the band aid was all bloody again. By the next morning it wasn't looking so great, so I took him into the doctor and they super glued him shut and sent us on our way. That afternoon Derrick bumped into him and it oozed a little more...later that night again Derrick crashed into him and sent it bleeding again...poor Alex! We took all the bandages off that the doctor had put on and it didn't look good. More steri-strips...more bandaids. The next morning he had a horrible rash from the bandaid that the doctor had used, we think he had an allerigic reaction to the sticky stuff on the bandaid...it looked painful. Now we are to the cortizone and neosporin stage...and it's finally getting better. What a trooper he is...not tears no complaining. We are so proud of our tuff little guy and thankful all this happened after family pictures! :) LoL!

Alex Turned Four!

Alex turned four on Tuesday. I can't believe how grown up he is already! His favorite thing about his birthday was the candy decorations on the table and the Ice-cream cake from Dairy Queen! Alex loves sugar...a major food junky :) We are so proud of him and all the life that he brings to our house. He is always singing so new song from school or one that he's memorized off of TV. It's hilarious! We love you Alex!

Thanksgiving 2008

It was so much fun to go to "Grandma Herb's" house for Thanksgiving! We did so many fun things and had a great time being with our family. Thanks Dad for taking Dustin and I pawn-shopping...sorry about you know what ;-)...LOL! Mom thanks for all you do! I know that cooking and doing dishes for that many people for that many days is hard...take a nap...rest up for the next visit. Cody, it was so good to see and spend time with you - hope your new job goes well. Holly - you are such a great girl...never settle you are worth the wait! Always remember we got your back! Tara and Julie, it was so fun staying up with you guys and lauging and making watches and seeing Twilight! You guys know how to have a good time and it's just fun to be around you. Love you guys!

Dustin turns the BIG 30!

Dustin's 30th birthday fell on Thanksgiving Day this year...it happens once every few years, but this one was extra special because he turned 30! I've been teasing him about it for months...he says he's staying 29 forever...ha...ha. We were at my families house this year for the holiday and the next day we had a fun "celebrate everyone's birthday party" party. We had family pictures, went to dinner and then went bowling...Dustin was a trooper and didn't even say too many bad words when my Mom got a higher score...LOL! He was so busy helping the boys bowl that I don't think his head was really in the game...or at least we'll use that as an excuse. Happy Birthday Dust'! We love you! - Amy & Boys!

We are so blessed! At this time of year I can't help but think of the many blessings that we have. Four healthy, smart, cute boys. A warm, nice place to live. A caring united family. A restored Gospel. A free country. Just to name a few. Let us be grateful as we gather together to share the Lords blessings.

Whew...what a week!

This week has been busy...busy...busy at our house. To start with I had two different Super Saturdays to get ready for and cut vinyl. I still can't believe I got it all done...it took a few late nights and a lot of help from Dustin and the Boys, but we pulled it off. Then Saturday was my 28th birthday. I can not even believe I'm that old. Time flies when you're having fun. We were at the church for most of the day helping with Super Saturday, and then Dustin and I went to dinner with Melissa and John. It was a hoot. It's so nice to get out and relax once in a while. Thanks Dustin for all your help I really apprieciate all you do. You made my birthday a special one! Thanks Dallin for remembering my birthday...there is nothing better than waking up and having your little boys tell you "Happy Birthday" right off the bat. Your present was my most cherished. Thanks Melissa and John for the drinks, the chocolate and the laughs...you guys are the best! Thanks Mom and Dad for the scriptures...I've wanted them for a long time and it's something I would not have bought myself. Love ya! Thanks Mom and Dad Alldredge for the birthday wishes, Happy Birthday to Dad Alldredge...hope it was a good one! Thanks Lisa, Melissa, & Donelle for the cute watch...Love it! Thanks Don and Jeni for remembering me...the card was hilarious! Thanks Stephanie for the idea book...can't wait to use it. Thanks to everyone for the phone calls and happy wishes. It's so nice to be remembered. I had a great day!

Same old...Same old...

The first thing to report this week is that Dustin has managed to skin both legs up playing kick-ball on a league that his company plays for. He is such a kid at heart! Each time he comes home from a game he is covered in Red dirt from head to toe and usually says something to the effect of, "I had to slide to win the game!" I shoot him a "you are almost 30 years old, when are you going to quit sliding" look and he just smiles and limps to the bathroom to clean it up. This week however I just couldn't help snapping a picture. This whopper is on the opposite leg of the one that is usually hurt and is pretty bad. He said at first that it was just a surface wound, but I think not. The dog follows him around constantly licking at his wound trying to help...which naturally only hurts more. It's sad, but funny! The rest of us are doing great! Dustin's "mini-me's" as he likes to call the boys are constant smiles and imagination. I think we've finally got our school day schedule down pact and we have even been making it on time to the playground occasionally :) Life is good!

Dallin couldn't decided between Batman or Darth Vader, so he wore Batman to school and Darth Vader Trick or Treating! He loved being super heroes, but said the costumes were hot and sweaty!

Alex was ... you guessed it...SPIDERMAN! He was so excited he woke up before the sun came up and we heard him whispering, "Today I get to be Spiderman, and eat candy! I am so lucky!" It was so funny! This kid loves sugar, so naturally Halloween is his favorite!

Derrick dug through the costume box looking through all the "hand-me-downs" and decided that he wanted to be an elephant instead of a pirate. He was soooo cute! He wore this costume all day, to Dallin's school, through the party, to Alex's school, through the party, to the neighborhood party (Thanks Sorensons! It was great fun!) and then Trick-or-Treating! What a trooper. He had to run the whole time to keep up with Alex who couldn't help himself with all the sugar handouts. Poor little guy fell asleep on the two block ride home and when we got there Dallin said, "Hey look...there is a sleeping elephant!" We all had a good laugh, and couldn't help but take a picture.

Our little Zeke squeezed into the Dalmatian outfit! What a doll and a good baby too! He's always good for a smile...gotta love those cheeks!

"The Dog!" Need I say more? Dustin thinks it's hilarious to dress up Cloey. If she could talk she would say, "How many more times are you going to humiliate me, before the joke is over?"

To wrap up the day Holly surprised us with a visit! The boys love it when she comes down, I think they thing she's their personal servant. She'd give them her big toe if they asked her to. Thanks Holly for being such a great aunt and friend!

"What was that Mom?"

O.k. - so Dustin has been helping Dallin with his homework each night and he is doing so great! He knows all his "sight words" already, his teacher says he's ready to start reading books and he is always excited to spend that time each night with his Dad learning. It's really fun to watch them interact and talk about things. The other night Dustin was asking him some questions and one of them was name 5 ways that people can travel. So he named of the obvious, walking, running, riding a bike and then he was stumped so Dustin started make sounds and doing things with his hands to give him some clues. I was sitting there rocking Zeke and I thought I would get in on the action and give him a clue about an Airplane so I made this "Vroooooom" sound (my best impression of an airplane) and the whole place goes dead quiet! You would have thought I had just asked all of them to hitchhike to Africa or something. Dustin finally says, "What was that?!?" Dallin gives me this look like "what did my mom just do?" (kind of like the one in the above picture) It was hilarious! I guess when it comes to boys and their sounds I'm out...LOL! Dustin tried to coach me for the next 5 minuets on the proper way to make a plane sound, but to no avail...I just can't make it. Dallin even gave it a whirl and wanted me to do it like him...Oh well...I can't be perfect at everything! :)

They grow so fast!

Our little Zeke is growing up too fast! I helped take dinner to two families that just had new babies this week and I couldn't believe how big Zeke looked compared to theirs! It's amazing what 3 months will do! He's getting so fun now... he has a personality all his own. He likes to see what is going on and be part of the crowd. When we put him in the crib for a nap he wakes right up, but if we lay him on the couch in the middle of all the commotion he sleeps like a baby! (no pun intended...LOL!) We put him in the walker for the first time last weekend and he loved it. He kicks those chubby legs all around and really tries to concentrate on grabbing the toys. It's so fun to watch them learn and grow...makes you realize how fragile and great life is! What a cute boy! We are so glad to have him in our family!

Deer Hunt 2008

This weekend was the annual Alldredge deer hunt!!! Dustin didn't get a tag this year so he was dubbed the "chase 'em out of the bushes" guy. Tyler took him on a good hike and he was tuckered out on Sunday. They had a good time and even DenniAnn decided she wasn't done "hangin' with the boys" and skipped practice to join them on the mountain. Mom watched the babies Saturday, and CJ and I got to take a break and to the boutique all by ourselves for a while. It was so nice to shop without wondering which kid was breaking something that we would have to pay for later...thanks RaeAnn and Kristi! Sunday was all fun and games in the backyard. The kids played in the sandbox, and the "big kids" (Mom, CJ, Tyler, Dustin, Kristi and DenniAnn) all played in the "human rubber band." It's amazing they are still alive to tell the tale. Pretty funny to watch too! All in all everyone had a great time and came away with a smile. Family really is what it's all about!

"Mom...there is a bug!"

O.k. this one's a doozy! I was rocking the baby to sleep today...for some reason he was having a hard time and Derrick was sitting on the couch watching a show. All of a sudden...really quietly witch is unusual for Derrick he says, "Mom...there is a bug!" I turn around to find a lizard crawling down the couch! I jump right up...go put the baby down and run to the neighbors to get one of their "big" boys to come and catch the lizard. I get back and ask Dallin where the lizard whet and he says, "there's a lizard...where?" So I tell him and Alex to go downstairs and I start looking for the lizard. All of a sudden Dallin yells "THERE IT IS!" and points down the stairs. I scream and say, "WHERE?!?" He starts laughing and says, "Just Kidding!" I'm so made and scared at this point I take after him down the stairs with one of their toy bats yelling, "You Don't Lie To Your MOM!!! He's still laughing! Anyway, I find the creepy creature and the neighbor kids chased him out the front door. By this time I'm practically in tears...I think I had totally had it. What a day!

We BELIEVE!

So the funny story of the week starts out at Target on Saturday afternoon. We're hurrying down the isle tyring to find a birthday gift for Grandma Great and Dallin and Alex were with me...not on their best behavior mind you. All of a sudden Dallin blurts out, "Hey, there is Santa Claus!" I frantically look around to see who he had offended I spotted a nice looking (not so old) man with a semi-white long beard and his smiling wife walking down the isle. I get a hold of Dallin and whisper, "...shhh! It offends people when you say stuff like that!" So we start waking past them and of coarse Alex slows down to the side of the man to get a better look. The man gives him a big smile and says, "Hi!" and Alex runs up to me and SHOUTS, "It really is Santa, he knows who I am!" By this time I am so embarrassed, but laughing my head off. Anyway, thanks heavens "Santa" and his young wife were laughing too and seemed to enjoy the joke. I think I'm safe to say that at our house We still BELIEVE! Kids are the best! So trusting and believing. I hope they never loose that.

It's not funny!

The other night Dallin came home with "exercise homework" and one of the things he was supposed to do was 10 "knee bends." Dustin was holding Zeke on his lap on the couch and so I got up to show Dallin how to do them. We started squatting and bending and counting real loud and all of a sudden Zeke looks up and busts up laughing out loud. I guess I must of looked pretty hilarious to get an 11 week old to laugh that hard. It was pretty cute to hear him roar like that...not so cute that he was having a laugh at his goofy mom!

The Pumpkin Patch...

We went out the Stahley's Farm last night to get some pumpkins and see the animals. We had so much fun! The boys loved all the neat animals and sliding into the big pile of corn. It wasn't too busy, so Dustin was content (he hates crowds!) Zeke slept through it all even the wind...what a good baby! We found some cute pumpkins to put out on the porch and then came home and ate Pizza. BBQ chicken pizza from the Pizza Factory is the best! Yummy! Aunt Kristi came with us and we laughed our heads off at Derrick who couldn't figure out how to put down his landing gear when he got to the bottom of the slide...face first into the corn. LOL!

The Party's Over...

We got released from primary a few weeks ago and I am so sad! I feel like I've been at a really fun birthday party and my mom called and told me it was time to come home! I have so enjoyed working with these great ladies and hope I can be more like them. I have learned so much from all of them and look forward to our continued "meetings" at the Pasta Factory! :) The kids were really fun too! Thanks Lisa for teaching me patience and leadership! Thanks Melissa for teaching me how to let my hair down and have a little fun! Thanks Donelle for teaching me that there is a light at the end of every tunnel no matter how dark. I have really enjoyed this calling and look forward to seeing you all in Relief Society...he..he! I'll be sure to save us the back row! :)

It's Always Fun When Grandma Comes!

Grandma Herbison and Holly came for a visit this weekend! It was so much fun to have them here and to just take it easy, watch conference and catch up. The boys love it when Grandma comes to visit. Their favorite thing to do with her is to go the the Dollar store and pick out a few prizes. She is so good and patient with them...loves to get on their level and color and play. Thanks Mom, for all you do for our little family. We love you!

Brave Boy!

The school called this morning and said that Dallin needed his Hepatitis A booster shot. (Thank heavens they are keeping track of it...with four kids and all their well child visits, I can't keep it all straight!) I called the doctor and they said they could get us right in...much to Dallin's distress. :) We go in and the nurse says, "Look at your mom so it doesn't hurt so much." Dallin promptly and firmly tells her, "No! I want to watch." The nurse says, "It will hurt more if you watch." He says, "I'm watching!" She sticks him, he grabs her hand and pulls the needle right out of his leg...ouch!!! He's not crying or anything, just determined not to leg go of that needle. She tells him she's gonna have to do it again, because she didn't get the medicine in. He lets her, but first he tells her the place he wants her to stick it. Still no tears...straight face. Brave kid! Who pulls a needle out of their own leg? Later in the car he says, "Mom, it doesn't even hurt anymore, isn't the bandaid supposed to fall off when it stops hurting?" I say, "No, you have to pull the bandaid off yourself." He says, "No that will hurt and then I'll need another bandaid!"


*note: he's waring the same shirt that he was in the previous post. This particular shirt is turning out to be the favorite school outfit. He likes that it goes with the green shorts in a "set" :)

Helping out on the playground...

I started helping out at Dallin's school today. My job is to watch the playground for an hour during lunch and to make sure the kids get in when the bell rings. Pretty simple. I even get to take Alex and Derrick along to get some sun and exercises each day. It was a hoot! Elementary kids are a riot. The principal gave me a baggie of band aids and said I was going to need them in my pocket. Sure enough...kids love band aids! I think they purposely fall and scrape themselves up just so they can get one. :-) The boys had a blast, and it was fun to watch Dallin interact with the other kids.

The circus is in town!

The circus came to town last night so we decided to take the boys out for some fun! We had a great time. Even little Zeke handled it well and wasn't complaining about the yummy taste of cotton candy he got (blue toung and all). Alex was happy as a clam with the snow cone and made sure he was holding it while everyone else got a taste. Dustin's favorite part was the performing poodles of coarse, and Derrick loved the motorcycle cage. It was so fun to see their reactions to everything!

I finally conquered the beast!

O.k. so first things first Dustin and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary this weekend. I can't believe it's been eight whole years! Time flies when you're having fun...or when you're married...ha...ha! Anyway, we had a great day. Dustin was so sweet, got some things done on my "Honey Do" list and then we went out on the town while his sister sat with the kids. It was nice just to have a few hours to ourselves to really talk and catch up. Anyway, sense we've been married I have been trying to make bread of all kinds...mostly cinnamon rolls with no success. This spring he bought me a Bosch mixer and I have loved it! I got the wheat bread down with no problem, but I've still struggled on with the yummy white bread and all the things you can do with it. Well folks...this week I think I mastered it! I found a recipe from the Lion House Cookbook that wasn't too difficult and the rolls got eaten, not thrown away! Yipppeeeeee! You all know that when something bugs me I have to keep trying until I get it right...well I finally got it right and it only took me eight years to do it! Now I can move on to something else. We also had our Primary program today. What a hoot! I just love hearing all those sweet kids talk and there's never a dull moment. I got to sit by Dallin on the stand, and one of the young women in the crowd started tearing up during "I love to see the temple". Well Dallin noticed and said (pretty loudly), "Why is that girl crying down there?" I quickly told him that she was feeling Jesus and to please try and be quiet. It was hilarious! Even more funny was the looks on the faces in the audience trying to get their kid to look at them or say their part or sing louder. Dustin was among them trying to get Alex to behave with various stern looks and funny faces. Primary Program days are always a riot!

I told Dallin to write the word "the" and then find all the word "the's" in a book and there wasn't any in the whole book! :)

A quick trip to Fillmore

We went up to Fillmore last weekend so that I could help with a wedding. Some of the highlights of the trip were:

-We forgot the TV that goes in the car so Dallin and Alex entertained themselves by putting their Wendy's sacks on their heads for hats (see attached picture). Pretty ingenious I thought.

-Alex burped on the way and Dallin told him he burped super loud...just like Aunt Tara! :)

-Dustin's mom has been canning for days (mostly spaghetti sauce...Dustin's Fav') They spent the Friday night making pizzas with funny faces. It was a total hit with the boys! Thanks Grandma for making it fun to come and visit!

-We went out with a bang! This was the last wedding that we had booked. We've decided to call it quits with the weddings for a while. This last one turned out awesome. I have to say it...we know what we're doing when it come to weddings!

-Dustin, the boys, Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Tylers fam' went for a 4-wheeler ride up the canyon and had a blast playing in the creek. Despite an incident with some ranch dressing :) they had a riot!

-We drove home late Saturday night so I could make it home in time to speak in church Sunday. Thank Heavens Dustin had a nap...the rest of us were hammered!

Two year olds...

Derrick finally has all his teeth...and he knows how to use them. He has decided that the best way to get what he wants from his brothers is to bite them. We've had to nip this one in the bud right off the bat...he's spent a considerable amount of time in the corner :) Gotta love those chompers!

Smart and Sneaky!!!

O.k. so we ventured to the D.I. this week to see if they had any canning jars. While we were there Alex (who loves to dress up) found this Spiderman mask. We brought it home, sterilized it :), and he's had it on ever sense. Today before preschool he asked me if he could take it for show 'n tell. I told him "NO" because it wasn't his turn to bring something. I thought that was then end of the story...ya right. I go to pick him up and he has the mask on. I asked him where he got it and his teacher said he's had it on the whole time and wont take it off...embarrassing! He thinks it's great and that he's cooler than all the other kids. The kicker was that we are supposed to walk them up to the door when we drop them off and Alex said upon arrival that he didn't want help walking to the door today. I told him the teacher wanted us to help them so I did. After I found out he had the mask I put two and two together that he had it and wanted to put it on and walk in the door. Smart cookie! What will he think of next?!? :)

8 Weeks Old!

Zeke made it to 2 months...yippeee! Almost to the day he started really smiling and laughing, it is so cute to hear those first little giggles. He's been such a great baby! He weighed in at 14 pounds at his two month check up...can you say HEALTHY baby? :) Gotta love that smile! Melts your heart!

Sad to see you go...

This week Dustin's Grandpa Verl Alldredge died. It was really hard to see him go, what a great man, husband, grandpa, great grandpa, and example. We will miss him and his great sense of humor. "Zeke" was named after him and was his 107th great grandchild. Can you imagine having that many great grand-kids? It's awesome! What a legacy he leaves behind. We are so blessed to have known him! We are so grateful that he was able to be at Zeke's blessing and will treasure our pictures forever. We love you Grandpa Verl! Or as Dallin affectionately calls him..."Grandpa GREAT!"

This week has been a little crazy... crazier than normal anyway. On Monday Dustin's sister Kristi went to help pick peaches at the church farm and came back with the message that they had an overload of peaches and we could go and take what was left over. You know I can't resist anything that is FREE :) so we loaded up and went out to Hurricane to see what we could get. It was great. We got tons and tons, and you know me, when I find a great deal I love to share, so we (Dustin's Mom, Kristi and I) loaded up as many as we could for our family, friends and neighbors. I got all mine done Monday night...with the help of RaeAnn and Kristi (thanks guys...I don't know what I'd do without ya!) 56 bottles of yummy peach jam and 20 pints of sliced peaches. I sure feel better knowing I have a little something sweet on my shelf in case we don't have anything next year. I've been learning to make wheat bread this year, and it will be a treat with the jam on top! I agree with Dustin's mom... "It can be Fall now that we've canned a few peaches!"

Just another day at the Alldredge house...

Boys, boys and more boys! Our boys are typical boys and that includes Dustin. They love to wrestle (until one ends up crying) and then when the crying is over they go at it again. We have learned that anything can be a weapon...spoons, pillows, couch cushions, fruit snacks, you name it...and it will hurt if thrown at the right speed and angle :) Gotta love having boys!

6 weeks old!

Zeke made it to 6 weeks old and all is well. He is such a great baby. We have yet to really hear him open up and cry. He loves to snuggle anyone who will and is our first kid who likes the pacifier...Mom is loving that! Thanks to all of you who have helped us get him here and for all the love and support. We don't know what we would do without you!

Alex goes to preschool!

Alex started preschool today. He has been waiting and waiting to go to school like Dallin. He did great! He didn't even cry! His teacher said he was a little nervous and wouldn't take his backpack off the whole time, but by the end he was doing projects, eating snacks (the highlight according to him) and having lots and lots of fun! We are so proud of our little Alex and how smart he is already. His teacher was so impressed that he could write his name already and help the other kids!

First Day of School!!!

Dallin started kindergarten this week. He met his teacher (Mrs. Miller) on Tuesday and then went for his first "real day" on Wed. He was so excited and a little nervous but he did great! By Thursday he came home thinking he could probably keep going. He was styling his new Batman backpack (Thanks Grandma Herb'!) and flip-flops... a must have for all new school going boys according to him :) It was a little hard for Mom to watch him all grown up and going to school but we made it! Yea for Dallin!!! We are so proud of him!
