A busy week...

This week has been super busy and full of simply moments in everyday life I don't want to forget. It's funny how the minuets march along and before you know it a week has gone by. Here are the highlights---and some of my favorite pictures...
Dustin's mom has had this picture on her fridge for as long as I've known her. I always thought it was cute, but after this week it has taken on a whole new meaning so I got a copy and now I have it up on my fridge. It pretty much says it all---especially if you have boys to feed. I have a feeling I'll be buying those cleats and jerseys before I know what hit me.Dallin started soccer this past week and he loves it! Dustin was the only parent volunteer---so he is the coach and he's learning---patience that is. We've won every game so far. Saturday we won 10 to 1 and we scored the other teams 1 point---oops---we went the wrong way! LOL! Oh well you can't say we aren't good sports, we're willing to help the underdogs out...he, he! Dallin did great and scored two goals on Saturday. I think I had better get a comfortable folding chair---it looks like I'll be watching a lot of games from here on out. I love it though---it's a riot to watch your kid out there having fun!Alex enjoyed the soccer game too, but not for the game, but the yummy snacks that were available. He loved that he got a chocolate chip cookie before noon and said we should come to a game every morning. That kid and sugar---a match made in heaven. He is loving his new found freedom of bike riding. He begs and begs to go out and ride in the road and promises he'll watch for cars. He's even been brave enough to try out Dallin's bigger bike. I knew it wouldn't take him long to master and excel. He's good at everything he tries---it comes so natural to him.Derrick is so full of life! He's been sneaking outside every chance he gets to ride his bike(s). He tries them all out--even the ones that are too big for him. Some he just pushes around, some he tries to pedal and falls, but my favorite is watching him start at the top of the hill on the twister cars and zooming down at full speed with his little body trying to hang on for all he's worth. He's pretty good at it too!
Our little Zeke is as busy as ever! His two bottom teeth are all the way in now and he's working on the two top ones---both at once of coarse! He loves to play with his brothers and gets frustrated that he can't move like they can. His favorite is the jump-a-roo, he laughs and giggles and thinks it's hilarious. Before we know it he'll be walking and there will be no keeping up with them all.It is teacher appreciation this week so Dallin planted a flower to give to Mrs. Miller - his kindergarten teacher. He has learned so much this year and we are really proud of him. I am so amazed at what he learns every day. It's true what they say that kids are like sponges---they just absorb everything. He has really loved Mrs. Miller this year, she's been so fun! I hope every year can be like this for him---a new adventure every day!

Giddy-Up Cowboy!

Today the name of the game was Cowboys and Space guys (the movie was Toy Story 2). Alex of coarse was the first to get his costume on---he's so creative. Dallin was next, he came in and I was folding laundry (surprise, surprise) and sad that the none of the cowboy hats would fit him today so he was just going to where a bandanna, but that was o.k. because cowboys wore those too. I'm always amazed at the things they pick up on. Derrick didn't have a costume on, but Dallin told him he was the "Messy guy" (I'm guessing that meant the "drunk guy" in all the westerns Dustin's always watching) his shirt looked like he was drunk when he ate his breakfast! After listening to their conversation with each other I couldn't help but take a picture---too funny! Zeke has mastered the reach and roll over trick. It's hard to see, because he blends in with the blanket, but the other night at the park he was pratically doing the splits trying to keep his balance and reach out and grab the ties on the quilt. He was fascinated with them. It was way funny! He'll be crawling and getting into everything before long---my baby's all grown up! Time goes by so fast---blink and you'll miss it!

Take me out to the ball game!

This last weekend DeniAnn had a softball tournament down here in sunny St. George. Dustin's Mom and Dad came down to watch and have some fun with us and Kristi. We love going to the ball park---the games are fun and the snow cones and nachos aren't bad either...wink wink! DeniAnn played great and Coach Grandpa wasn't to bad to watch either---he really gets into the game, it's a hoot! We all got a little sun on our faces and then Ryan and his family drove in from Texas Saturday afternoon and we all went to Chuck-a-Rama for dinner. It was fun having them all here.

Heeding the warnings...

It's been on the news again this weekend and after talking to some friends we've decided to make our blog private as well. Good vs. Evil...

I couldn't resist taking a picture of Alex in his latest costume. I went outside this afternoon and around the corner he came all dressed up in this "Clone" outfit from Star Wars.Do you see any resemblences? He's pretty good at hitting the mark when it comes to dressing the part. I am always amazed at what he comes up with. I think he borrowed the mask from the neighbor next door.Dallin and Brannon (Dallin's friend) were the good guys and Alex was the bad guy. The hilarious part was when he got on his bike with the mask on and took off down the street, light-saber hooked on his belt and all. He said it was his space-ship and he was leaving because the good guys were winning and he had to go get some help. I was cracking up!The boys were very serious about the parts they were each playing. I wonder if the neighbors were catching all of this--if so they got thier giggle for the day. LOL!

It's Not Easy Being Green...

Happy St. Patricks Day from the Alldredge Family!
Dallin woke up first thing this morning worrying about weather or not he had green on and that he was going to get pinched. I assured him that the only one that would be pinching him was me and it would not be because he wasn't wearing green, but if he woke up Zeke who hadn't slept very well last night! Grandma Herbison saved the day with fun St. Patrick's Day attire. The boys asked if we could take their picture and you know me...I love to take their picture so I happily abliged. The sun was shining bright today so they had a hard time keeping their eyes open. This one was the best we could do. Four little boys, bright sun-light, and a red bench are a hard combination, but you get the picture---cute---funny---a good day!

Note to self:
-Alex's expressions are hilarious. You never know what you're going to get when you click the button on the camera!

-Zeke's bottom two teeth are finally all the way in...Hurray! Now the top teeth are starting to come through---the slobbering continues, we need more bibs!

Deal or no deal...

Lately Alex has been obsessed with the movie The Chronicles or Narnia, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Alex loves to study things out, dress up like the characters and act the parts. It's cute and very funny. Over the past few weeks he has lived and breathed this show. We've seen it dozens of times. The rest of us are sick of it.
His favorite part is when Peter says, "We've come to see Azlan" and he takes out his sword and bows. Alex goes around all day (when he's not watching the show) with his light-saber, or a bat, or whatever stick he can find for a sword saying, "We've come to see Azlan!" It's hilarious! So a few mornings ago he wakes up and immediately comes in my room and says, "Mom can I watch The Lion and the Witch?" Dallin comes running in screaming, "No! I will not watch that show again!" this begins the usual morning battle. So I intervene and say, "O.k. you two make a deal. If Alex gets to watch the show this morning, Dallin gets to choose what to watch tonight." Dallin says, "O.k. the DEAL is we are NOT watching that show at all!" Alex retorts, "The DEAL is we ARE watching this show and we're watching it tonight too!" My deal idea was a bust, but it was funny to see what they came up with on their own. :P
